Pizza Pockets

Makes 4 serving(s)

WHAT'S IN IT?

1 (8-ounce) can refrigerated, reduced-fat crescent roll dough
1 3/4 cups (6 ounces) shredded, reduced-fat mozzarella cheese
24 slices turkey pepperoni
3/4 cup (or more!) of your favorite jarred pasta or pizza sauce

STUFF YOU NEED

Large nonstick baking sheet
Dry measuring cup
Potholders
Liquid measuring cup

HOW TO PUT IT TOGETHER

  1. Ask an adult for permission to use the oven. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Separate the 8 crescent roll dough triangles. Take 2 triangles and pinch them together to form a rectangle. You should end up with 4 rectangles.
  3. Coat a baking sheet with cooking spray and place the 4 dough rectangles onto the baking sheet. Onto each rectangle, toss 6 pepperonis and scatter even amounts of mozzarella cheese. Roll tightly lengthwise and pinch the ends closed.
  4. Bake for 12 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow to rest for 5 minutes.
  5. Serve with sauce for dipping.
